
Renata Lučić (1991) is a Croatian film director and screenwriter based between Zagreb and Berlin. She graduated in Film and TV Directing from the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb and in History from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb.
Working across fiction, documentary, and commercial projects, she focuses on narrative filmmaking with a particular interest in intimate, character-driven stories that explore family dynamics, love and human connection.
Her films have been screened at prestigious international festivals such as Dok Leipzig, Festival EDOC, ZagrebDox, MakeDox, Wicked Queer Boston Film Festival,Zagreb Film Festival. Her short film Fifth Floor on the Left won the Best Short Fiction Award at the Veracruz Film Festival, while her documentary As Far as Our Feet Take Us received the Audience Award at the Mediterranean Film Festival Split, the Grand Prize at the Student Film Festival in Belgrade, and was named Best Documentary in her graduating year at the Academy of Dramatic Arts.
She is currently developing her debut fiction feature Ana and is in post-production with her short film 2000 — an intimate journey into her own past that explores growing up in unhealthy family circumstances and the lasting consequences it brings.
